11-year-old girl wrote letter sick dog shelter

Some animals have to wait years to finally find themselves in the arms of people who will love them. Worse still, some homeless animals will never live to see their dream home. Others have to cross a very difficult road before arriving where they feel good. This is the case of Snoopy, an exceptional senior dog who can make anyone fall in love with him in seconds. Unfortunately, despite his friendly nature, he does not find a permanent home. All because of his illness. The gift he received from an 11-year-old girl touched the hearts of the shelter staff.

The exceptional dog spent more than two years at the shelter. All because of his illness

Snoopy is a dog who has spent many years at the shelter. He was lucky enough to come across an institution where many kind-hearted people work – the Benton-Franklin Humane Society. Despite the fact that he was distinguished by an unusually friendly and cheerful disposition, no one wanted to give him a permanent home.

The unlucky dog is already senior. In addition, he suffers from Cushing’s disease, as a result of which he has severe vision and hearing problems. However, that doesn’t stop him from enjoying every day of his life. On the contrary, Snoopy is a dog whose style makes anyone who spends even a few moments with him smile broadly. The senior dog quickly gained a huge group of admirers who, despite not being able to adopt him, did everything to make his life a little better.

Snoopy enjoyed great sympathy among people. He received many gifts. One of them was special

Snoopy, despite many adversities, can enjoy life more than most beings walking the Earth. It is an animal that never loses hope. He quickly becomes the living mascot of the shelter where he lives. The dog regularly received various gifts from many people. Most of them were toys and treats. However, one of the gifts turned out to be special.

One of the girls following the Benton-Franklin Humane Society’s social media activities decided to write a letter to Snoopy. Here is a fragment:

“Dear Snoopy, I wish you the best of luck finding a home because you deserve love. Just looking at your face tells me you have a wonderful soul. I wish I could adopt you but I only have eleven. Hope you like stuffed animals and treats. Sending hugs, Emma.”

This gesture affected not only the volunteers but also many Internet users.

Luck has finally smiled on the exceptional dog

After more than two years at the shelter, fate has finally smiled on Snoopy. The local organization, Forgotten Dogs Rescue, approached shelter staff with an offer to care for the elderly dog.

Saying goodbye to an exceptional four-legged friend has proven extremely difficult for many people.

Snoopy went to a foster home. A sick senior finally has the opportunity to spend the night on the sofa and not in a kennel. We are still looking for people who want to give him a forever home, but the unique dog can sleep peacefully. He will be in the foster family for as long as needed.
