About the Brussels Griffon
A little decorative companion, full of charm, love and good nature. Included in the top three small Belgian dogs – Brussels and Belgian Griffon and Petit Brabançon. This cute, compact dog is unpretentious and looks like a curious little monkey, whose aristocratic appearance is accepted by many artists as the standard of beauty.
The French cynologist Lafon describes this little dog as follows: “Curious like a journalist, affectionate like a boy from Provence, in love like a troubadour.
Bearded and moustachioed, small but strong and compact, he is covered with hard and disheveled, medium-long and dense hair; the color of the coat should be pink, possibly a little black on the whiskers and chin. The head is broad and round with a firm chin and a short muzzle; the nose should be black and very short. The eyes are large, bulging, extremely dark. The ears are thin, set high and curled forward. The tail is cut two-thirds.
The Brussels Griffon is very affectionate and devoted to one owner. He is a lively and curious dog, sometimes a little cheeky, good, brave and faithful guardian. The Griffon does not require much grooming and only needs regular brushing. This dog is adapted to life in an apartment.
