A veterinarian on the Caribbean Island of Antigua found an adorable puppy in a cardboard box outside his home. Just by looking at her, he knew she needed help because she suffered from a particular medical condition.
The little dog seemed to have her little eyes permanently closed and averted, but this physical problem and her tender, wrinkled forehead touched her heart. The man did not hesitate to pick her up and immediately contacted Dogs and Cats of Antigua, a local animal rescue center.
The charity picked up the little girl and took her to their facility where she was called ‘Faith’ by staff.
A puppy was born with a permanent strabismus

In addition to her condition, she suffered from severe malnutrition, but the organization’s volunteers knew they could give her a second chance at life.
Kate Venezia, Faith’s adoptive mother, told The Dodo:
“Normally a special needs dog like Faith would be immediately euthanized on the islands. There are few adopters and there is no money for care.

Dogs and Cats took care of all the veterinary bills and even convinced the government to give the permits so she could be brought to the United States for specialized treatment.
When Faith arrived at Kate’s house, she was surprised at how determined she was to continue her life as a normal dog.

Kate said:
“She was surprisingly good at walking around the house, she’s quite fearless, but she always finds her way by sniffing and bumping into things. Nothing bothers her, if she hits something she just jumps back and keep on going.”

The little girl uses her ears and her nose to walk around the house and thus manages to reach her favorite spot; his mother’s feet.
Kate added:
“She loves people, but she wants to be with me all the time, she can feel if I’m there.”

Faith looks up and sniffles to try to find him, and if someone is making noise in the house, she can hear it and runs towards him. The adorable dog was taken to Animal Haven, a rescue center in New York, for medical checks.

After a thorough and detailed medical evaluation, it was determined that little Faith was ready to find a forever home and family.
As soon as the rescue center posted the adorable photos of Faith on Facebook, adoption requests started pouring in like a deluge.

The pup has come a long way to find a second chance in life, and there is no doubt that he will find it forever in his home.
