The little kitten was the only survivor of her litter, but unfortunately, she was born with a rare congenital disease, requiring specialist care. Ellen Carozza, who is one of the founders of the Chris Griffey Memorial Feline Foundation, located in Virginia, discovered the little boy and immediately wanted to help him.
The kitten known as Mickey suffered from Manx Syndrome, which meant he needed help walking, using the bathroom, or using diapers for his incontinence.
Despite all these complications, Ellen was ready to accept the kitten, and from day one in her new home, she showed her desire to move on.
Kitten with beautiful eyes finds the necessary help
Mickey explored all the places in his house, he was surprised by everything he saw, he loved cuddling with vets and especially being petted.
After receiving proper treatment and therapy for several days, Mickey improved his condition and was soon ready to find a forever home.
A woman named Tara, who lives in Toronto, Canada, learned about the kitten’s story via social media and fell madly in love with the cat.
Tara told Love Meow:
I thought I would be the perfect person and that I would be the perfect companion for my other cat with special needs.
After doing various research, it turned out that Tara was the perfect person to provide Mickey with a comfortable, friendly and loving home. A foundation volunteer who works as a flight attendant helped prepare for the trip, and soon the kitten flew from Virginia to Toronto.
Tara added:
I took him out of the carrier and he just looked at me with those big eyes, gave me a hug and started purring.
The woman had prepared a special room for Mickey to settle in, he quickly settled in and showed how happy he was.
Tara’s other animals were eager to meet their new brother, but only greeted him through a baby gate. In a few days, he makes all his brothers love and joins the pack, creates a special relationship with Mira and a puppy named Paco.
As soon as he trusted, he proclaimed himself king of his new kingdom, grabbed Paco’s bed and kicked off all the socks.
Mickey is a very happy kitten, he constantly does hundreds of mischiefs and never stops getting in trouble; He fears nothing. Sometimes, when he hears the back door, Mickey comes out quickly and takes the air next to his mother.
Mickey is also smart, because he knows how to apologize when he is in trouble, because he shows his beautiful eyes and no one can say no.
Tara commented:
He’s one of the cats with the most facial expressions I’ve ever seen.
Besides having an energetic mind, Mickey is also characterized by being a very affectionate kitten with everyone around him.
Sadly, Paco passed away last month, so Mickey decided to sleep in his bed or on his toys because he missed him. Fortunately, her family were joined by a rescued puppy named Emery, so she now shares a bed and time with her new brother.
Tara said:
Mickey has the greatest personality I’ve ever met in a cat and I can’t imagine my life without him.
Mickey has proven that despite all of his complications, he received the much needed help and is now a lovable and happy cat.
