In May, New York City rescue group Little Wanderers NYC received information about a kitten in need of help. The cat had been abandoned in an apartment in the town of Mount Vernon, apparently because its owner had moved and decided to leave it behind.
The rescue center shared with Love Meow:
“The tenants were in a hurry to leave and left it with the garbage. A nice Samaritan gave him some dry food and came to us for help.”
The feline of about six years old was called Narnia, he was too shy and every time someone approached him he backed up and hid.
Cat abandoned in apartment is so happy to be found

Staff at the rescue center knew that Narnia would need a trained caregiver, so they began to search for a suitable foster home.
Staff wrote on Facebook:
“He’s a very beautiful cat and we want him to become the king he’s meant to be.”

After visiting the vet, Narnia was taken to her new foster family, but she was still very nervous and didn’t want to get out of the transporter.

His new adoptive mother came over and reassured him, started to stroke him to make him feel comfortable and Narnia took all the attention. Little by little, the feline found the courage to come out of its shell, he was happy with everything he had at his disposal and to be able to satisfy his needs.

Plus, he received the care and love he needed from his adoptive mother, so he started to feel safe. Without thinking, Narnia one day decided to join her foster mother and lie down on her bed to sleep comfortably next to her.

Thereafter, he trusted his caregiver even more and sat on the couch during the day, slept and rested anywhere, carefree.
The rescue center commented:
“Narnia has come a long way in the months she spent with her foster mother. He went from being a shy, scared boy to a confident boy who can finally relax.”

While in foster care, Narnia patiently waited for a perfect family to show up to adopt her.
Luckily for Narnia, this week the news she was waiting for arrived and her dream of finding a home has finally come true.

One family learned her story and were delighted with the sweet kitten, they didn’t hesitate and said they were willing to take the time to gain her trust.
They know it’s a full time job, but they want you to feel like a real king, after all you deserve it.

Now, Narnia walks with her head and tail held high, knowing that he belongs to a loving family who will take care of him forever.
