A cat who lived in a sewer pipe was lucky enough to have the confidence to be close to a family, so her kittens would have a chance to thrive in life.
Earlier this summer, in Spokane, Washington, resident Jamie Myers was on a camping trip with her family when they suddenly saw something strange.
Her 10-year-old daughter observed a small cat in the distance, walking under the road, right in the pipe.

As animal lovers and adoptive volunteers, Jamie’s family immediately decided to investigate in an attempt to locate the abandoned little feline.
Jamie told Love Meow:
“We jumped out of the motorhome and ran towards the road we entered to look for this mysterious cat who was in the wrong place. Several hundred meters further we found a drain pipe under the road and we saw in this pipe two little eyes looking at us”.

Obviously, the pipe was the wrong place for an abandoned animal to seek refuge, and they knew they had to help the feline. Jamie and her daughter tried to get her to eat food and she was quick to accept and devour the food within minutes.

Jamie said:
“This might just be the easiest rescue we’ve ever done. We left the little tin can outside and she didn’t hesitate to eat. She came right over and showed us how great she was. hungry, beautiful and skinny as death.”
Shortly after the animal emerged from the pipe, the family was able to discover that through its bones and loose skin, it harbored a miracle in its belly.

The cute animal was very kind to the family and decided to follow them throughout camp; she was very grateful and wanted to stay by his side.
Jamie said:
“She let us pick her up and take her to our RV where she stayed for the weekend. She didn’t mind sleeping in bed with us, snuggling up on the couch with us, and she seemed so grateful to be safe.”

Most likely the kitten was abandoned in the sewer, as no one claimed her, and perhaps she had been living there for a long time. Luckily, that was all about to change, as Jamie’s family picked her up from camp and made the decision to bring her home.

Over the next few days, the cat named Caki grew incredibly accustomed to his new foster family and made rapid progress. Caki stood next to Jamie’s daughter and showered her with lots of hugs; now he didn’t have to worry about anything, just be happy.

Jamie said:
“Just days after bringing her home, she shared her secret with us and blessed us with six new little ones. We have experienced such joy in helping her raise her babies in a safe, loving and caring home. happy.”
Caki had little milk, so her new family helped her bottle-feed her babies throughout the day.

When Caki was able to be more stable and nurtured, she was able to breastfeed all of her young and devoted herself to meeting all of their needs.
Jamie said:
“He was an amazing mother, she always knew where her children were and did her best for them. He talked a lot, he talked with them constantly.

Caki taught her kittens to eat and drink water like a big cat, constantly lovingly smothering them and giving them many obligatory baths.
The kittens were thriving and growing by leaps and bounds, and when they were old enough to be adopted, they quickly found wonderful forever homes.

Jamie commented:
“Two of them even stayed with our vet. Now is the time to find this sweet mom her forever home.”
When they found Caki, she was definitely not having a good time in her life, but she was doing her best to survive and save her kittens.

Fortunately, today he is a happy, healthy, playful and extremely affectionate cat. She has truly thrived and is ready to be adopted into a loving family.
Jamie said:
“When we rescued Caki, we thought we were saving a life that day, but we had no idea it would be seven.”

There’s no doubt that Jamie and her family have changed the lives of Caki and her little kittens, now she just hopes to be adopted ASAP.
