Earlier this year, a black and white cat named Valentine was taken to the Community Cat Club rescue center in South Jersey, USA. The 10-year-old tuxedo feline was immediately affectionate and calm. I just wanted to be around people and receive love.
It wasn’t long before Vali, as she was affectionately known, settled happily into her foster home and made sure everyone at home received a daily dose of thanks from her.
Sara Sharp, founder of the Community Cat Club, told Love Meow:
“She was abandoned when her elderly owner could no longer care for her. Vali was a laid back, sweet girl from the start, never shy from approaching people for attention and snuggling. We also had to have a dental checkup because she had resorption, so now her lip is still sticking to her gums and that’s the cutest thing.”

For her guardians, it was truly unexpected to see Vali continue to be under the protection of her foster home for months after her arrival.
Sarah says:
“We were hoping to be able to find him a new home as quickly as possible, so he could move straight from his current home to his new home.”
After six months, Vali was still waiting for her happy ending. And although the shelter posted numerous posts about her on social media, no one showed interest and she was kind of overlooked.
But Vali didn’t seem to be fazed by any of this and kept living each day to the fullest. She was happy to have a roof over her head, people to cuddle up with, and a warm, comfortable place to nap.
All the while, the feline has made friends with other cats and even dogs in his foster home. She reflects so much love and calm wherever she goes that it’s impossible not to stop and pamper her.
After a long wait, the rescue center decided to try to take her to the adoption center, where they felt that since she was more exposed to potential adopters, she would soon find a family.
Vali always seemed down and ready for any adventure, so when she jumped into her carrier and left, everyone was excited for her.
After exploring his new home on the adoptive floor, the feline quickly noticed that there were a lot of people passing by and had an idea. Vali got up on her hind legs and started waving them against the glass wall, in an attempt to get people to notice her.
When volunteers come to visit, she gives them the sweetest winks and purrs happily for their company.
Sarah assures:
“She loves all humans, regardless of age. He deserves the world and will make anyone very happy.”
For Vali, just having warm knees to sleep on or a soft blanket to knead makes her the happiest cat in the world.
For now, she receives all the attention of volunteers and visitors to the shelter. Everyone is eagerly waiting for their dream family to pick them up and make them happy forever.
