John and Alex Sanders, are a couple who love to leave the door of their house open, so they can enjoy the good weather. One day, six months ago, as they rested and relaxed, refreshing themselves a little, something unexpected happened to them.
Out of nowhere, a surprise visitor appeared, a cat came in, greeted them as if it knew them, and sat like it was its own home.
John Sanders said to The Dodo:
He just walked in as if he owned the place.

The couple petted the cat and checked it, in order to find some nameplate, they found it and discovered that it was called Tigger. They contacted his family and found that he lived only one block away, and that he was a neighborhood scout.

They brought Tigger to his family, and the couple thought that would be the end of a fun story, but the cat had other plans.
John said:
He came back the next day and visits us every day since then.

Now the cat runs away to his new friends’ house every day, at least twice a day, and returns frequently for the night.

His family has accepted that Tigger does what he wants and they say that for some reason he chose them as his second family. Tigger runs his own schedule, usually visiting the Sanders between 9 and 11 p.m. and sleeping there.

The next morning, when Alex woke up for coffee, she let him out and he left quietly for his other home.

John said:
Now that we are more at home on the COVID-19, he visits us between 12-2, 4-6 and returns during the night. There are days when we do not see him, but that is rare. Usually we see Tigger twice a day without fail.

Initially, the couple tried to get Tigger to go home at night to his family, but eventually they gave up. They decided to let the cat sleep wherever he wants, and even when he arrives and the door is closed, he meows to be let in.

John said:
His parents have said that Tigger really does what he wants and has chosen us. They also say that they are happy that he is comfortable, safe and does not roam the streets.

The couple does not know why Tigger has chosen them, but the cat continues to sneak into their house to spend the night or the time.

In the end, they are very happy with Tigger and love him so much that he is practically part of their family.
