This man saved more than 300 cats after losing his son in an accident.
After the tragedy, he decided to do something good in the time he had spent on earth. He decided to turn his home in Long Island, New York, into a shelter for stray cats.
Chris Arsenault, a 58-year-old man known as the “Long Island cat man”, now looks after more than 300 street cats in his own home.
“I wanted to do something good with my life, this shrine is in memory of my son,” says Chris.
He lost his 24-year-old son in a motorcycle accident in 2006.
It all started from there. He crossed a colony of very sick kittens and decided to do something. Since then, Chris Arsenault has been saving cats who need help and a home. He does not rest and continues to fight for them and give them the happy place they deserve.
He named his sanctuary “Happy Cat Sanctuary“.
Little by little, he managed to transform his house into a very pleasant and stable place for cats. Thanks to the collaboration of people who donate for kittens.
When it’s time for bedtime, many cats go to Chris’s bed and huddle with him.
It’s the unconditional love they feel. said Chris, they know they are being helped and they thank you with their love.
We only have words of admiration for this man and for his excellent work. He decided to give and receive the love of cats to help overcome his tragedy, and thanks to this, hundreds of cats are very grateful to him for saving them. Thank you, Chris Arsenault …
Good luck and you can continue to help them for a long time!
