Steve Mckay has always been a staunch Halloween lover, and since moving to Taiwan 10 years ago, he’s decided to keep celebrating the holiday. The man thought the best way to do it was to create some wacky costumes for himself, but soon his fun designs would take another turn.
Steve told The Dodo:
I loved Halloween as a kid, doing craft projects with my mom and dad.
As a good stranger, he thought that celebrating this tradition would be a great experience for those who do not know it and would show its true roots.
Dad makes costumes for his dogs

So, Steve started designing funny Halloween costumes, which he used to attend the school where he worked as a teacher. But when he decided to adopt a dog named Buster, it seemed his plans had changed and he decided to include him in the fun lore.

Steve added:
About five years ago we found Buster wandering the street. He was a little ugly and had some skin problems, but he was also affectionate. He followed us home, and after a few days we decided to stay with him.
Steve’s wife always thought it was crazy to make these costumes, but when she made her puppy’s costume, it seemed like everyone liked it.

Since then, every year he makes a different costume for his dog and himself, a curious event that has become his new tradition, and the best thing is that when he adopted another dog, named Beans, he also had to participate in the Halloween costume parade.
Steve is very curious, so he makes most of his costumes out of felt, cardboard and glue, anything he imagines turns into a costume.

Fortunately, Buster is a good role model when it comes to showing off his dad’s fun creations in front of other people.
Steve commented:
Buster doesn’t care. Sometimes he looks serious in photos, but that’s only because he’s looking at a dog treat.

One day Steve decided to turn Buster into a dragon ship; He was a little confused, but in the end he got it and went to get some treats. Since Buster is a staunch food lover, his father tries to tailor costumes related to the foods he loves most.

On the other hand, Beans is not very keen on costumes, however, he grants his father’s wishes and allows himself to wear hats, wigs, glasses, etc.
When Beans and Buster aren’t busy scrolling through their dad’s fun creations, they’re doing normal dog activities.

Without a doubt, these puppies couldn’t have a better life, however, they prefer October not to come.
