Aimee is a very friendly and affectionate pit bull who was brought to the Carson Animal Care Center shelter in 2015, a place notorious for high levels of euthanasia. There she was very nervous, scared, with a painful and life-threatening skin condition.
Learning of the situation Aimee was facing, volunteers from the Saving Carson Shelter Dogs rescue group decided to step in to help her.
They made a video of her and shared it via Facebook, as they usually do with animals at the shelter, thus trying to find a family ready to offer her love more quickly.
Dog was in mortal danger but his life changed
The video shows Aimee at her kennel as she is happy to have a few visitors, proving from the start that the dog would make an exceptional companion once her skin heals.
Saving Carson Shelter Dogs also shared some photos of Aimee where her eyes beam with sweetness despite her condition.
Thanks to all the efforts of the volunteers, the life-threatening dog was able to find the right people who decided to give her the opportunity to be part of their family.
The video of Aimee running towards her freedom and a new life has gone viral and has touched the hearts of thousands as she can be seen beaming, jumping, running and wagging her tail in excitement.
Aimee’s foster mom shared a photo of the pup after one year and the change is amazing. She is very healthy and happy.
