Some people believe that cats don’t get along with dogs, and while that’s sometimes true, many times the story can change a bit, like a dog being a stray cat’s best friend. everywhere everyday around your neighborhood. The relationship of these two animals is very incredible.
The so-called “black cat” is waiting for the puppy at the door or in the garden so that they can spend time together. It all started when Sarah Hunt decided to take her dog named Benji for a walk near her home in March in Cambridgeshire.
At the time, about 20 months ago, Sarah felt the company of a small shadow following them as they walked through the neighborhood.
The dog is the neighborhood cat’s best friend

When the woman stopped to look at what it was, she could see the cute “Black Cat”, which appeared to be from a nearby house. Since that day, the kitten has made the decision to wait for them in his garden every morning, to do his morning exercises with his friend Benji.
In addition, he always decides to follow them throughout the walk they take through the city, without worrying that they can last about 20 minutes on foot.

Sarah told METRO:
“They’ve been friends since we took Benji for his first walk when he was four months old. At first he followed us, but only from a distance.”
After seeing that he always followed them on walks, Sarah thought the kitten was interested in finding a home or in them. What he did not imagine then was that the sweet feline only wanted to establish a beautiful friendly relationship with his dog Benji.
Realizing this, Sarah decided to let Benji out into the garden of his house and the “Black Cat” would jump over the fence to play with him.

The two animals run together, caress, fight and have fun doing mischief; they really found what they were looking for and became inseparable. Whenever they go for a walk, the Black Cat always waits in the garden, and sometimes he stays there all day.
Even though he doesn’t see his friend Benji, he calls him through the door to come out for his morning stretch or personal yoga.

Sarah commented:
“They got closer with each passing day.”
If for some reason she doesn’t see him on her daily walks, she goes to the garden, even if it’s night to see her great friend Benji. The woman thought Benji wasn’t nice to cats, since his canine parents didn’t like felines, but she was wrong.

They were even hesitant to welcome him into their home because they thought he wouldn’t get along with his other pet, a cat named Marley. But he turned out to like cats because of Marley; his house is full of other cats and they all get along well with Benji.
But there is no doubt that the best relationship is with the curious and mysterious “Black Cat”, and they show it every day.

Benji’s family tried to locate the kitten’s owners so they knew about their friendship, but it was nearly impossible. Although she has an identification collar, it is very worn and it is difficult to tell the data that is on the plate, even her name is not visible.
Sarah added:
“All of our neighbors have only seen him outside, so we don’t really know where he came from.”
That’s why they decided to affectionately call him Black Cat, and it seems that Benji recognizes this name perfectly, since when it’s mentioned, he starts looking for it.
Sometimes they leave him treats and food, but they don’t often because if he has a house, they don’t want him to abandon his family.
Sarah said:
“If he turns out to be homeless, we would love to adopt him into our home.”
The relationship between Benji and the cat is so adored by people that it has even become a hit on social media. The videos of the beautiful friendship have been viewed more than 400,000 times and netizens are quick to leave their loving comments.
The beautiful encounters will continue to be recorded by Benji’s family and shared with his followers who keep an eye on their relationship.
There is no doubt that these two animals show us the true meaning of friendship, because even their differences cannot break their beautiful bond.
