A curious but heroic scene occurred at Elizabeth Houston’s home, when her dog brought him an injured bird to help him. The dog named Charlie, a Pit bull who was rescued by his family two years ago, is known to be very special and excessively sweet.
Charlie is so gentle that he cares a lot about the people around him, and he proved it when he wanted to help the little bird that needed attention.
He was observing the landscape in the viewpoint, when he saw a little bird flying that crashed against the window and fell injured to the ground.
Dog brought a beaten bird to his mother
Immediately, the dog activated his protective instincts and ran to where the bird was, to see what had happened to him and to help him.
Elizabeth told The Dodo:
He found the bird right after it flew into my break room window.
Charlie could observe that the bird was not moving, so she gently took it in his mouth and carried it to his mother. She then she dropped the bird on her lap and stood by her side, waiting to observe what she would do to help the animal.
Charlie was very worried about the little bird and he was attentive observing all the movements of Elizabeth and waiting for the little one to react.
Elizabeth said:
Charlie and my Boston, they kept a close eye on me and the bird the whole time.
After a few minutes, the bird finally reacted and began to scream, Charlie was so excited that his face immediately changed expression. He was surprised that his new friend had woken up and that he had caught everyone’s attention, with his loud screaming.
Elizabeth said:
The look on Charlie’s face is priceless.
Thanks to Charlie’s quick action, the bird was in good health and he seemed very happy to have helped the little one.
When Elizabeth made sure the bird was fully recovered from the blow, she carried it into the garden and released it to fly free. Throughout this process, Charlie was always by his mother’s side, as he had to be completely sure that his friend would fly again.
Charlie was so concerned after seeing the bird fall, that he had to make sure his mother gave him the help he needed.
Although his friend left and may not see him again, Charlie was left with the consolation that he helped the little one with his heroic performance.
Now, his family hopes this story helps people see how sweet Pit bulls really are.
