In general, dogs and cats have a reputation for disliking each other, some even think they dislike each other, but there are stories that prove otherwise. A sweet dog named Raylan seems to prove that love is not species sensitive, and he has become popular for showcasing the good relationships between cats and dogs in an adorable and cuddly video.
Raylan takes care of rescued kittens at his home. He has become the adoptive father of many rescued cats who come to the place, he is responsible for looking after them and loving them, until they find a home.
These cute cats come to the place for different reasons, some are abandoned by their heartless owners and others have lost their mothers.

There are a lot of animals who suffer the same fate, but luckily there are people like Raylan’s father who are working to change their fate.
The dog’s father has done a fine job of saving cats that have been stranded for many years, in order to protect them and provide them with a permanent home.
Raylan’s father told Bored Panda:
“Raylan is a very intelligent dog, eager to please and ready for any adventure.”
He continued:
“I discovered he loved cats when we brought home our first foster kitten (Watson) 6 years ago when Raylan was 3 years old. I just wanted to play with him, he was very gentle and patient. Watson is now our neighbor and they see each other frequently.”
Thanks to the viral video, Raylan has an Instagram account with over 109,000 followers; clearly, people love to watch adorable content. The account description says Raylan enjoys buying beer for loved ones, traveling, and cuddling his foster kittens.
The dog’s owner explained that he was adopted from a shelter, where he was going to be euthanized because no one wanted to adopt him because he was very outgoing. People ignored him just because he had a lot of energy and was difficult to control, but it was clear that no one had tried to educate him.
Fortunately, Raylan has found a good home, and now at age 9, he has already taken care of over 60 homeless kittens.
Raylan’s dad said:
“He cleans them constantly (which is very useful when they are very young), in addition to playing with them and carrying them. It also stops them if they try to scratch the sofa.”
Raylan’s viral video, which already has around 82,000 views, people are excited to see how the kittens cuddle up to him. Users, after watching the adorable video, respond quickly and comment on the post with messages of good wishes and fancy the cats find a home.
Raylan’s dad said:
“I don’t know how it didn’t go viral before! We’ve been doing this for years and it’s so amazing.”
Raylan already knows his trade very well, and he knows kittens come and go, but if he spends a lot of time alone, he starts to be sad. If you don’t take care of new kittens, you stay depressed, but when new cats arrive, it doesn’t take long to show your happiness and enthusiasm.
Without a doubt, Raylan’s favorite day is when he meets new kittens to take care of and becomes their adoptive father.
Raylan’s owner works in partnership with many shelters, but most of the time he pays for the kittens out of his own pocket.
