When it comes to photography, you might think the internet is the best place to look for inspiration, but a certain photographer went to an abandoned property in California to find some photo ideas. There he came across a dog stuck in a concrete hole. The animal stretched its head towards the sky, looking for someone to free it from its trap. The quadruped’s face lit up with a grimace resembling a smile as workers from a nearby animal shelter rushed to his aid.
The dog was stuck in a concrete hole. Despite the torments he’s been through, hope never faded from his eyes
The paths of the photographer and the abandoned dog crossed in Fresno, California. Depressed, struggling with the heat, and to top it off, the American quadruped Bully looked at the stranger with sad eyes. There was a silent cry for help in that eloquent gaze. Few people would be able to control their emotions in this situation and not shed a tear over his sad fate.
Although the dog appears to be gentle and friendly to strangers, the photographer was concerned that the animal would react aggressively if he tried to bring it to the surface on its own. Therefore, experienced animal rescuers were immediately notified of the case. Fresno Humane Animal Services responded to the notification.
The dog fell in love with the rescuers almost immediately
It took a few moments for the rescue team to arrive on the scene. The action to get the animal out of trouble went smoothly and, above all, successfully. Despite a stressful situation, the dog remained calm and did not resist the efforts of the team. After descending into the hole, shelter staff managed to secure the dog and then climb back up with him, where he was no longer in danger.
“He was very kind from the moment he was rescued, admits Christi Camblor, executive director and co-founder of Compassion Without Borders, whose wing quickly overtook the stray animal. “It was love at first sight. “I felt like we couldn’t part with him.
The newly arrived patient is cared for by Doctor Camblor, who can no longer resist the charm of the animal. After making sure all health needs were met, the vet and her husband decided to adopt a pet with an ever-smiling face. The new member of the family was called Leroy.
Today, Leroy lives with his new family, participates in photo shoots promoting the shelter, and participates in other exciting activities.
“He loves playing with toys, getting into mischief with his canine siblings, taking naps and spending time sunbathing in the garden,” says the American bully’s new trainer.
As representatives of the California shelter note, Leroy’s case has not been isolated in recent years. Although pets have become invaluable companions in isolation, with the increased interest in adopting dogs and cats from the shelter, there have also been more cases of pet abandonment. Although it has never been established under what circumstances Leroy ended up in the middle of nowhere, there is no doubt that the previous owners made a huge mistake. The perfect material for an irreplaceable friend passed by their nose.
The most important thing is that Leroy is finally living the life he deserves. This is called a successful adoption!
