This sweet little dog named Muffin has been getting his hair cut at Lisa Granade, operator of Happy at Home Pet Grooming in Washington, for three years. The two have struck up an adorable friendship throughout this time.
Lisa says Muffin is a very affectionate girl! and that he smiles and wags his tail every time he sees her when he goes to the living room.
Although Lisa and her furry client have grown close over the years, their happy time together was always limited to times when Muffin needed a haircut.
A dog is surprised to meet his groomer
But the other day, Lisa was driving down the street when she saw Muffin and her owner walking around. So, she decided to stop and say hello.
What Lisa never imagined was that she was about to wow Muffin.
Lisa told The Dodo:
“I stopped and rolled down the window. I called out to his human mother: ‘That’s a very cute dog!’ As soon as Muffin heard my voice, he started looking for me!”
When Muffin turned around and saw Lisa was really in the car, and the voice he heard wasn’t just in his head, he was “shocked.”
Muffin seemed to feel like his groomer never left the only place he knew he was.
Lisa posted on Facebook:
“I met Muffin yesterday while driving between dates. I think he was surprised to hear that I have a life outside of the salon.”
The dog was completely surprised, and with an amused reaction on his face. Lisa got out of her car to spend a few minutes fondling her favorite customer.
Lisa said:
“He was overjoyed. The bond I have with my clients is the best part of the job. It’s a relationship of trust and joy.”
Muffin has learned that that feeling of joy can sometimes come when you least expect it.
