Sue arrived at the shelter on August 22, 2017, after being rescued and as a small puppy. The friendly dog settled in with the foster family at Bath Cats and Dogs Home and quickly adapted to all the comforts of the place.
Shelter volunteers thought Sue would soon find a forever home, but it seems they were all wrong. Well, it’s been four years since Sue arrived and she’s still waiting for the perfect family.
Adorable Sue has lived most of her life at the shelter, arriving there at a very young age, just a few weeks old.
This dog saw how her friends are adopted
According to shelter members, in 2018, Sue had the opportunity to be adopted, but the family returned her. She has always been characterized as a very tender and friendly dog and no one can understand why she is still waiting for a home after so long.
Rachel Jones, director of the shelter, said in a statement:
“We don’t know why poor Sue hasn’t been rehomed. “We all adore her and love taking her for long walks and giving her lots of attention, but we are desperate to find her her own home. “
The saddest thing is that since arriving at the shelter, she has seen how 941 other resident animals managed to be adopted.
However, no one is losing hope and they hope that one of these days the right family will walk through the door of the shelter and decide to adopt him. So far this has not happened and although Sue has some behavioral issues, she has done very well with her training process.
In addition, everyone is sure that with the right family, Sue will be able to continue to improve her behavior and adapt very well in her new home.
Rachel said:
“Sue is a sweet, intelligent dog who can be a little overexcited at times, so she would benefit from owners who can keep her training up! She is very affectionate and loves to snuggle up on the sofa with you, as well as engaging in good play with his toys!โ
He is also very social and loves meeting new friends, but it is recommended that he be the only pet in his potential new forever home. Sue is smart and has mastered basic commands like sit and shake, but there’s no doubt she can learn a lot more.
Rachel added:
โI wish his new owner was here most of the time. She may sometimes feel overwhelmed at home, so she will need a quiet space to relax. We would also like it to have a secure garden.
Sue lives comfortably at the shelter and has made many friends during this time, the volunteers spoil and adore her.
But everyone is aware that what Sue needs more than anything is to find the perfect forever home.
Rachel commented:
โItโs really time for him to start fresh with a lovely new family who can finally show him the love and security he deserves.โ
