There are animals that love music like humans. Many pet owners swear that their dog or cat has a favorite song and as soon as they hear it, they instantly become happier – and sometimes they can’t stop singing along.
But one dog has a very unique taste in music: he loves opera… so much so that as soon as he heard his favorite opera star on TV, he had to run and join in.
This viral video features a very talented dog named Hugo, who can’t resist one of the greatest opera singers of all time, Luciano Pavarotti.
Like many fans of the tenor singer, the dog was glued to the television watching him perform Nessun dorma from the opera Turandot.
Very few singers can achieve Pavarotti’s sounds, but that didn’t stop Hugo, a golden retriever, from trying: while he watches his hero on television, the dog howls and sings along with him.
And when the opera singer hears the song and its famous high note, the dog moves even closer to the television, as if trying to get a closer look.
Hugo’s owner said this was not Hugo’s first time enjoying opera, but he had a warm place in his heart for Pavarotti.
“He loves all opera singers, but especially Pavarotti,” wrote @BestRecipesUK on Twitter.
