Over five hundred days ago, the Dublin Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) received a border collie dog. He’s been up for adoption for a long time. Unfortunately, despite his amazing appearance and small size, this dog still hasn’t found someone who would decide to take him under his roof. The representatives of the DSPCA, despite several competitions, do not give up. They are doing everything in their power to ensure that Jordan, as he was called, spends the autumn of his life among people who will love him.
The dog was neglected and scared
Jordan was taken into the care of the DSPCA in very poor condition. The animal was dirty all over, with bald spots on the sides of its body. Moreover, he was very afraid of people. It was immediately obvious that someone must have abused him.
Representatives of the organization had before them a very difficult sentence. They had to face the fight for the health of this abandoned dog. This struggle was not limited to medical activities. Jordan’s psyche had to be worked on. You had to convince him that reality doesn’t have to be terrifying. Without the support of a behaviorist, there was no way the dog would even have a chance of finding a loving home.
His fortune would improve. Unfortunately, Jordan is unlucky with people
Many months of steady work with Jordan have brought spectacular results. Through efforts to restore Jordan’s confidence, the impossible became possible. The dog loved walks with people, on which he behaved like an exceptionally well-behaved pet. In addition, he learned to touch. Now he sees no problem in petting or cuddling. He particularly liked to comb his fur. This is a huge success considering that in the past all care work was an ordeal.
For a moment, it seemed to the shelter staff that luck had finally smiled on Jordan. A couple came to pick him up, who even set a specific date and took him to their home. Unfortunately, when the long-awaited day arrived, the potential owners did not show up. Contact has been broken.

The shelter dog is waiting for someone who will show him support and patience
Jordan remains in the custody of the DSPCA. Despite the many advances it has made, it is not very popular with people looking to adopt a stray dog.
Things are made more difficult by the fact that Jordan doesn’t get along with other animals. Therefore, he must find a home where there are no other dogs. In addition, he needs a lot of calm and space. Its owner will have to show a lot of patience. This dog has suffered a lot in his life, so this new environment can be stressful for him.
