Boone is a very sweet Labrador retriever who managed to capture the attention of thousands of people around the world thanks to a rather peculiar photograph at the wedding ceremony of his human parents.
Boone is a gorgeous Labrador retriever who rose to fame on social media for a photograph in which he posed in a rather peculiar way at the wedding of Jayce Conway and Angie Blumberg, his human parents. Boone has been with Jayce since he was a puppy and they are definitely inseparable.
Jayce told The Dodo:
Boone pretty much went everywhere with me. He would wake up with me at 4:30 a.m., walk me to work, then ride my golf cart with me all day while we drove around the golf course.
About a year and a half after adopting Boone, Jayce began dating Angie Blumberg, a girl from Freeburg, Illinois, with whom he began a long-distance relationship for about five years.

Angie and Boone had a really good connection since they met and whenever the lovebird couple managed to see each other, they also enjoyed Boone’s company.

Seeing Jayce take such good care of this dog is part of what made me fall in love with him. We were a little family. He is my friend.
When Jayce and Angie were planning their wedding, they were very clear that Boone had to be there. Still, Conway knew it wasn’t a good idea for Boone to wear the rings.
Jayce said:
I didn’t want to tie a ring to him. He’s very well behaved, but he can’t stand water, and we got married about 7 feet from the river. I had a nightmare about him running in water with rings attached to his wrist or something, which is why his only role was to stand there next to us, and pose for pictures.
Boone was lying next to Jayce for much of the ceremony, but what he did ended up getting everyone’s attention.
Angi said:
It was during the opening prayer…Boone was with Jayce during the prayer, and he kind of walked over and got in front of us, and then he decided to go around on the ‘grass.
Everyone was amused by Boone’s behavior, even the pastor.
Jayce said:
I was trying to read the sentence without bursting into laughter. I was trying to keep my composure a bit, I had trouble smiling.
Jayce said:
We bathe and clean him very well the night before, and sometimes dogs just don’t like the smell of scented soaps, so they try to mask it.

I shared the photo on a private Facebook group we had created for the wedding, then the next day Angie made it her profile picture. My sister shared it, then a friend of hers who worked for KSDK [ News] in St. Louis saw it.
This is how the photograph was published by KSDK News after asking the couple for permission.
Jayce said:
We thought it would be local news…and then we had almost no [cellular] service. We had no idea what happened…and by the time we were able to get messages across, it had already been shared about 40,000 times from St. Louis, and that was in 12 hours or something. From there, it took off like wildfire.
Jayce and Angie are very surprised at what happened thanks to Boone.
Jayce said:
We try all the time to have a tiny, intimate wedding in the mountains, and now 10 million people have seen pictures of it.
The couple and Boone are moving to Alabama, and they can’t wait to see what life has in store for them.
Angi said:
We’re living in the same state, almost for the first time…and I think we’re going to really enjoy taking Boone for walks together. I think he can adapt to any situation, as long as he’s here with us.
