When the phone rings, the dog immediately leaves the house. His mission? Make sure the young woman is not alone at night.
No one asked him to do it and no one taught him. Mao Mao does this simply because he wants to make sure the youngest owner returns home safe and sound. To do this, he takes out a torch in his mouth every evening and waits patiently at the bus stop. This routine has been going on for months and is now taking the internet by storm.
The Golden Retriever is reaching out to his followers after posting a video of him, showing his daily mission to bring his owner back safe and sound. The young Chinese woman works outside the city of Yichang and has to take the bus to get to the company.
When it is time to return home, the sun has already set and the absence of street lights makes it difficult to return. Not to mention the dangers. When Mao Mao learned of this, he decided to light his way himself.
So, he started noticing that whenever the landlady was about to reach the bus stop, she would send a message to her parents via WhatsApp. Therefore, every time he heard the ringtone, he would take the flashlight and leave the house to go after her.
With a flashlight in his mouth, he runs to the bus stop. Then he waits for him and welcomes him with a wagging tail. Finally, he drives her home, always attentive to his surroundings and possible dangers. Watch the video below to understand her routine.
Mao Mao is adorable, but he’s not the only one with this kind of loyalty to his owners.
Six dogs belonging to a homeless man in Cianorte, northwest of Paraná in southern Brazil, spent an entire day outside the Santa Casa hospital after their owner was admitted.
The man, known as Luiz, suffered a stroke on Wednesday and was released Thursday morning. During this period, the loyal dogs did not leave the front door of the establishment.
“The dogs were desperate. Thursday morning, when Luiz came out and left with his brother through another door, the dogs remained at the hospital entrance. One of the NGO volunteers had to pick up Mr. Luiz from his brother’s house and take him to where the dogs were so they could get out of the way,” he says.
