A charming dog visits his neighbor every morning, and he usually waits for her in the kitchen for some treats and cuddles
Sophie Moore recently moved house and has had to adjust to many changes. She recently went through a breakup and her dog stayed with her ex-partner, which made her feel a bit sad, but one morning an unexpected visitor appeared on her doorstep who would help Sophie adjust to her new life.
Every morning at breakfast, Edith, as the adorable labrador is called, waits for the woman at the kitchen door so she can come in to say hello and receive some caresses. This routine has been very positive and has helped the woman avoid feeling a little lonely.
Sophie told The Dodo:
“I arrived and she was a little suspicious of me at first, but after a few cookies and loves, she soon became my friend.”
Soon Edith’s visits became a pleasant daily routine, and when Sophie came over to her kitchen; the lovely dog was eagerly waiting for her to receive treats and some pampering.
Visits from her new friend make her very happy, and every morning she steals many smiles.
Sophie recounts:
“Most days she is sitting outside my front door. I open the door and she comes and greets me. She stays while I’m in the kitchen.
Edith often roams the neighborhood freely, and she may visit a few other houses on her daily schedule, but for Sophie having Edith waiting for her every morning with a little love has been very helpful in learning to adjust to her new lifetime.
Sophie says that not having her pet by her side has been very difficult for her; she has always had dogs and this change has not been easy for her to cope with.
She added:
So, seeing Edith has certainly helped me fill the dog-free void in my life. Seeing her little tail wag when she sees me is very comforting. “
