Several weeks ago, staff at the Santo Antônio de Jesus Regional Hospital in Brazil noticed a homeless dog that appeared to be waiting patiently outside. Mel, as they later found out was her name, was there for the sweetest of reasons.
Hospital workers noticed that the dog looked healthy and, although they still didn’t know why she felt so lonely, they started giving her food and water for a while. weeks.
It turns out that Mel was expecting his best friend, a homeless man who had been admitted to the hospital last month. The faithful dog must have seen how her beloved human was admitted to the hospital, and the only thing she could do was wait for him to return.
Dog waits for weeks for dad to get out of hospital
Once the kind hospital staff found out, they decided to hold a very emotional reunion for this couple of friends.
Mel was really happy when she saw her father, who immediately jumped into her arms and showered her with kisses. The man also could not hide his emotion and hugged his beloved dog tightly.
Although there is still time for Mel and his father to be reunited for good, as he has yet to be hospitalized for treatment, the friendly staff ensure that each day they can have the opportunity to spend time together.
It’s unclear how much longer Mel will have to wait, but staff are hoping the man won’t leave empty-handed with his pup, so they’ve set up a fundraising page to give them a boost to go from the front.

Help us change his life and his. Doesn’t matter any amount (really any amount…) is welcome.”
Maybe with the help of a few people, this man’s dream can come true, and with that, Mel’s life will change a bit. But she already enjoys the great love, care and protection that her father gives her, the greatest wealth that really matters.
