Likewise, we are confronted with a breed of dog perfect for a family with children, because the Eurasier dog loves company, games and the center of all eyes. In fact, another characteristic of the character of the eurasier is that it does not tolerate loneliness well.

On the other hand, and although it is a sociable dog, it is common that the first contact with strangers is careful or frightened. For this reason, it is important to proceed with the approach little by little, very carefully and always respecting the dog’s times.

As we said, the Eurasier is a very playful dog, so much so that it can be quite naughty during its puppy stage. In addition, due to the mood of the eurasier, if he is bored or does not receive adequate mental and physical stimulation, he can become a destructive dog.

Exercise

This dog needs at least an hour of exercise a day, and more if possible, to keep him from getting bored, which could cause him to develop unwanted behavior problems, including separation anxiety.

History of the breed

In the early 1960s, breeder Julius Wipfel began making a series of crosses between dogs of two breeds, the chow chow and the wolfspitz, in order to create a new breed of dog that would combine the characteristics of the two dogs. The result was eurasier, a dog obtained by adding Samoyed to the previous mixture. This particular breed was officially recognized by the FCI in 1973.

The creation of the Eurasier breed was not easy, as the help of scientists specializing in canine genetics was necessary to end the problems associated with the original crosses. All of this has been rigorously documented thanks to the fact that several books have been written on the origins and obstacles encountered in its creation.
