Adorable greyhound racing dog, who fell in love with everyone with his lovely smile, finds a home and loves his new life.
The greyhound known as Ross was used as a dog that competed in different dog races to meet the needs of spectators and handlers. Fortunately, the time for his retirement came and he was taken in by a shelter in Manchester called Cheshire Dogs Home.
There, the little dog stole the hearts of many with his adorable smiling appearance, making it easy for him to find a forever home.
His smile not only caught the attention of his caregivers, but it also won over Chris Ferrel, a man who decided to adopt him.
Ex racing greyhound enjoys his new life

Now the sweet dog is called Dash, because according to Chris he didn’t respond to Ross’s name, it was also a memory from his previous life.
Chris told METRO:
He didn’t have a loving nickname because he never had a family. We decided Dash was a better choice because he’s absolutely insane.

Before the adoption, the man was looking for a canine companion to help him with his mental health issues and thus improve his life. During this process, she was lucky enough to meet Dash at the shelter and fell in love with him when she saw him.

Chris commented:
It’s not the prettiest thing in the world, but he’s very placid and calm, like me.
Although Dash never had a family, he is adjusting to his new life very well, but his teeth keep getting attention. Dash looks like he has a lovely smile, but it’s actually a problem with his bite that he’ll be like this for the rest of his life.

Chris said:
We checked him out and talked to a vet and he doesn’t hurt him, he’s just born like this. He has a permanent overbite.
Even Chris assures him that his condition does not prevent him from doing any activity, not even eating, since he would eat all day if he could.
As the days go by, the retired racing dog adapts better and better to its new, comfortable environment.

However, having never lived in a house, there are still a lot of things that still scare you and it takes some getting used to.
Household appliances such as vacuum cleaners, televisions or the like that generate some type of noise are new to him and he is easily scared. Dash gradually evolves and recognizes and gets used to the sounds of everyday life in his home.

Chris said:
These are small steps every day; I was sitting on the couch last night watching TV and he just climbed up next to me.
Dash is very afraid of vacuuming and sometimes panics, so his family decided to vacuum when he is outside the house.
His adaptation will be a process, but nothing that he cannot overcome with the help of his family, who will be by his side.

Despite the fact that Dash’s previous life was surrounded by errands, Chris claims he is a healthy dog and that his owners took good care of him.
Chris is completely in love with his new friend, so much so that he decided to create an Instagram account to introduce him to his new family member.

The Dash account has been successful and several companies have applied to market Dash products. But the man isn’t interested in these businesses, but uses Dash’s fame to encourage people to donate to Cheshire Dogs Home.

After all, through their tireless work, Dash has found a family with whom to enjoy a new life forever.
