Ace is a very special kitty. He was rescued some time ago from a shelter and was happy to get to a family who treated him like the special kitten that he is. However shortly after being rescued, Ace lost one of his eyes due to an infection. That has put his life in perspective, especially since now people seem to fear him.
Many are the people who ignore this pussycat, due to its appearance, because it lacks an eye, but a child was encouraged to give affection to the cat called “misunderstood” or “terrifying” and the security camera captured this tender moment.
“It can be a bit scary, especially for children,” Norma Maikovich, its owner, told The Dodo. “People don’t like to get too close to him.”
Ace likes to spend his day lying in the driveway, basking in the sun and fresh air. As a precautionary measure, she installed a security camera to make sure he was okay, and that’s how she discovered that Ace had a friend.
“When I saw the recordings I noticed a boy who comes almost every day,” Maikovich said. It turns out that one of the neighbors has made it part of his routine to visit Ace and the kitten loves his new friend.
For Maikovich and his family it was a relief to see that not everyone is afraid of Ace after all. “It melted our hearts, not just seeing how much Ace loves this kid, but how well they get along. He sits in front of our house and as soon as he sees him, Ace runs to greet him. The bond they have formed is wonderful ”.
As soon as the neighbor kid arrives, Ace rushes to greet him. He is so happy to see his pal that he flops on his side, demanding belly rubs. The two often hang out, sitting next to each other like two best friends.

And Maikovich also informed the little boy that he has permission to visit whenever he wants, in case he was afraid of getting too close. “A friend of Ace’s is also our friend,” he said.
Although many still fear the kitten for its lack of an eye, it does not matter. “Appearances are not everything. Seeing these two be such good friends really proves that it’s important to give everyone a chance. “
Ace is a big sweetheart and will purr for anyone he meets.
“When we first adopted Ace and Ramsey we weren’t sure how their quality of life would be,” Norma told Love Meow.
“But six years later and seeing the footage of Ace and his buddy really proves that when given the chance of life and love and a family, animals with special needs are worth it, too.”
