A homeless cat has chosen her property. Every day she wandered around, begging for food and flattering everyone she met, and in the evening she mysteriously disappeared. Finally, the inhabitants of the complex decided to follow her, and then everything made sense: the animal was responsible for the little dependents. They thought they had it all figured out when… the cat disappeared again, leaving all the chaos on their heads. They had no idea what they had gotten themselves into.

Near the property, a homeless female cat was spotted wandering around and begging for food. The owners took care of him as much as they could. They were on duty and provided him with food and fresh water. However, it didn’t stop there. The Good Samaritans did not yet know what they had unknowingly gotten themselves into.
When they followed the cat to the trailer, where they often saw it disappear, they made a startling discovery. The animal was not hiding there alone, it had company. Five kittens were waiting for their mother to return after a day of hunting.

Unfortunately, it turned out that the cat was not an exemplary mother. It’s been a few weeks since they discovered the kittens and the stray has stopped coming. She disappeared and left the kittens under the trailer. The desperate kittens were big enough to try to live on their own. They made their first hunting attempts, but without success.
Landowners knew they could not meet this challenge alone. They had to turn to other cat lovers for help to keep the group safe. The Coastal Bend Cat Rescue cat shelter helped take care of the little ones. To their surprise, instead of the declared five kittens, they found… seven. Apparently, during the first count, some kittens from the litter got lost.
The brothers and sisters willingly came out of hiding to play in the yard. They treated the property like a private playground. In the meantime, a place has been found with a foster family.
“As soon as we opened our new foster home next week, we informed the searchers and set an adoption date,” said Coastal Bend Cat Rescue (CBCR) volunteer Mary Huckabee.

In the end, six black kittens and a red tabby were noted in the litter. Other than a changeling, the kittens were indistinguishable. There had to be colored necklaces around the neck so as not to confuse them. After a while, the adoptive parents realized that despite their physical similarities, the siblings were very different. Each purr had a unique character and let you know it loud and clear.
Ed Earl, Sally Mae, Cletus, Ellie Mae, Billy Bob, Skeeter and Daisy Mae were bathed and dewormed. They were well fed and kept in an air-conditioned room. All seven were growing like weeds.
Despite their early childhood spent outside, the kittens quickly got used to living at home. They happily run around rooms and climb wherever their paws can reach.
“They’re incredibly soft and cuddly, adventurous and already escaping the catwalks,” Mary shares.
Playful kittens love to be the center of attention. When they are not chasing each other, they attempt to seduce their adoptive parents by snuggling up to them and showering them with kisses. A chorus of purrs accompanies them wherever they go.
“These little ones will be placed in foster care for several weeks until they are ready for adoption. They definitely reached the pinnacle of gold when they landed in foster care. From now on, they will lead a luxurious life,” assures their tutor.
