Many people have more than one pet in their home, sharing spaces, food and games. Sometimes, however, arguments arise between the two, perhaps over food, or even just dozing in the other’s chair. Just like what happened to this Golden Retriever, who found himself fighting with a little kitten for stealing his bed.
Seat occupied!
In the video, shot by Bailey’s human parents, the dog can be seen reaching for the foot of her bed and finding this little kitten in the center, curled up, with no intention of getting up. Then begins a real estate dispute between the two!
As soon as he approached the cat, he could very well have moved it, considering the small size of the cat. Instead, he thought of trying to negotiate: barking at it, turning around and tugging at the bed.
The kitten does not give up
But the kitten is not afraid and resists. Luckily, Bailey has always been a playful dog around everyone, having befriended birds, rabbits, and more. in the past. So, he tried the coup de grace: try to wrap the kitten like a carpet. But no way.
Fed up now, Bailey lay down on one side of the sofa and began to slowly move towards the center, to regain control of her territory. But the kitten did not move, deciding to join his rival.
A favorable situation for both
Between one push and another, the two unknowingly entered into a favorable condition for both of them: the dog had resumed its beloved bed, while the kitten had resumed its place on the dog.
Bailey and her new friend somehow taught us a big lesson: it doesn’t matter if they are big or small, dog or cat, the two can always find a way to get along and share their spaces!
