Recently, a worker at the City of Wichita Falls Animal Services animal shelter, in Texas, United States, named Zackry Majewski, attracted the attention of many users on social networks when he posed for a photograph with a husky named Sky, with the intention of to find an adopter for the dog; What they did not imagine was that the worker would end up receiving more attention than she.
Zackry has been working at the shelter since October of last year as a kennel technician and animal control officer. He is a faithful lover of animals and hopes to be a ranger in the future.
Nicki Bacon, administrator of the City of Wichita Falls Animal Services, referring to the post where the young man stole the stares, told The Dodo:
We wanted to highlight them and also highlight a dog that we had available for adoption.

In the recent publication on his Facebook account, the shelter made a brief description about Zackry, acknowledging his work within the organization and specifying that his canine companion in the photograph was in search of a permanent home. .
The City of Wichita Falls Animal Services wrote:
He has great compassion for the animals in our care. He especially likes huskies and he can always be found snuggled up with a puppy at the shelter. In his spare time, Zac likes to hike and listen to country music.
Zac’s love for animals is admirable, he is always looking for a way to help the thousands of puppies they receive at the shelter, it is common to find him stroking or playing with some of the local dogs.
For five weeks, he is in the kennels helping to clean, feed, water and take the dogs out, play with them and take care of the animals inside the shelter. And then for the next five weeks, he’s out in the community, patrolling for stray animals and taking calls for any cases of cruelty we may have received.
The emotion generated around the photograph of Zac with Sky was astonishing and attracted thousands of people to the pages of the shelter; and of course Sky was adopted in no time, and since the post where Zac stole the glances, the shelter phones kept ringing.
When I first saw the post in the morning, I had gotten around 500 comments, and I took it to the office and said, ‘I just wanted to let you know this is exploding a bit.’ He thought it was a lot of fun. He is the humblest guy. He said, ‘I’m glad the dogs are getting attention.
Zac is grateful for all the attention his post attracted and he hopes he can help the dogs who still want to find a permanent home. Zac also calls on people to visit the shelter’s website and find a new member for his family.
You can visit the website of the shelter and learn about its work with the dogs they rescue and their adoption processes, you can also make donations for the maintenance of the place.
