Rescue Cats of Florida, a rescue center in the United States, rescued several cats from a kennel weeks ago and put them in their care. Some cats were pregnant and therefore needed attention. So they contacted Samantha Fox, the founder of Fox Foster Kittens, for help.
Gucci, one of the pregnant kittens was really adorable and very spoiled. From the first moment he met the foster family, he demanded extra care and wanted his fur brushed whenever he asked for it.
Samantha told Love Meow:
“They really need someone there all the time to keep an eye on them. So here I am. Gucci has a strong personality. She is such a stubborn young woman. We learn what he likes and what he dislikes, personal hygiene habits, sweets, toys, etc.”
The cat is happy that his kitten is starting to thrive
A week after arriving, the kitten went into labor, and she had a beautiful little kitten identical to her that they named Versace. She was a very strong girl who clung to her mother with great determination.
Gucci had another little one who unfortunately did not survive despite efforts to do so.
The cat has devoted herself entirely to her new role as a mother, nursing and caring for her only kitten all the time. Versace dipped into Gucci’s fur and was perfectly camouflaged and comfortable under his mother’s warm tummy.
Samantha says:
“Gucci had a very difficult childbirth, but we have a beautiful and healthy daughter. He has the same characteristics as his mother.”
This cat is an exemplary mother and deeply loves her little one. Gucci is so happy that his only kitten is safe.
Samantha added:
“Versace is still huddled under his mom’s cock or under his chin. Gucci loves her baby like I have never seen a cat love her kitten. He never wants to be far from her. Their bond is one of the strongest I have ever seen.”
In the first weeks of life, Versace received his mother’s undivided attention; her little belly was still full and she gained a lot of weight quickly. When she finally opened her eyes, the kitten was curious about everything around her.
Gucci has been a model mother to her kitten, always giving her full baths and wrapping her paws around her for a nap. She is always aware that he does not stray too far.
Samantha says:
“Versace is approaching three weeks and still looks cute. Now he’s learning to walk on those little legs.”
Rescue Cats of Florida has rescued and helped many other kittens over the past few weeks. Gucci and her baby have a chance to live and a great future with the help of this rescue center.
Versace still has a lot to learn, and he walks like a duck with his tiny legs and big belly. She has become spoiled and enjoys being in the arms of her humans.
Versace learns a lot from his mother and already behaves like a little diva; he is demanding and very adorable just like her. When I quit breast milk, Gucci will be permanently withdrawn from maternity.
Samantha ensures:
“I’m so grateful that I was able to help with these guys and help Gucci finally have their last litter of kittens. Versace is a lovely little girl and I can’t wait to see her grow up.”
