Although the dog knows that his human father has passed away, his love and loyalty to him has yet to fade, so he visits his best friend’s grave every day.
The dog named Cesur is heartbroken, because he has just lost his best friend, the only person who mattered most to him in his life. Although he knows that his human father passed away, his love and loyalty to him still does not fade, so Cesur visits his best friend’s grave daily. After years of suffering from a paralyzed illness, 79-year-old Mehmet Ilhan died in a hospital near his home in Bura, Turkey.
During the last two years of his life, Cesur had been his faithful companion, so his death has been very painful.

Ali, Mehmet’s son told The Dodo:
“Due to my father’s paralysis, they had a different kind of connection. When my father was in the hospital during his last days, Cesur stopped eating.”

Unfortunately, Mehmet did not return home, he passed away after fighting his illness.
When his body was brought home, Cesur stayed close, refusing to leave it. So when a procession formed to carry the coffin to a local mosque for the funeral, the dog insisted on leading the way.

Heartbroken dog visits his best friend’s grave every day
During the ceremony, Cesur sat next to the coffin without raising his head, he was very sad.
“No one could touch him until my father was taken to the grave and buried”

The dog watched as his best friend was buried.
The little dog now lives at home with Ali, but his heart still yearns for Mehmet.

For the last five days since the funeral, Cesur has traveled through the city to the place where his human father was buried to sit next to his old friend.

Ali had noticed Cesur walking out the door when he left for work, but it wasn’t until he decided to follow him one day that he realized what was happening.
“People who work in the cemetery say that the first thing they do in the morning is visit my father’s grave.”

It is not known how long Cesur will continue to visit Mehmet’s tomb, or if he will ever fully heal from the loss. The important thing is that he has a family who will help him in his grieving process and Ali promises that the little dog will not have to face the future on his own.

Cesur has always been a noble animal. He is going to live with me from now on.
