While working at Turkey’s Tatvan Bitlis State Hospital, nurse Abuzer Özdemir once noticed an unusual visitor near the entrance. He was a very distressed homeless cat who seemed to be crying out for help. Fortunately, this helpless animal’s call for help did not go unnoticed by the compassionate man.
Although it is not known where he came from or how he was injured, the cat must have known that the hospital could help him. The medical center released security footage showing the cat limping determinedly before Özdemir helped him.
It’s amazing to think that this homeless cat knew exactly who could help him when he needed it most. Thanks to Abuzer, this kitten found help and now her wound is healing.
Homeless cat walks into hospital looking for help
The nurse told Enson Haber media:
“I saw a cat come in and it was amazing. When I took him to check him out, I noticed he had a broken leg and I put a splint on it.”
The cat was not only able to regain mobility, but also found a forever home. According to the hospital where Özdemir works, the cat came for help and left with many more.
The center’s chief physician, Dr. Gökmen Reyhanlı, praised Özdemir and other staff for their good work and compassion. The boss told the AA news agency:
“I thank our friends for their sensitivity. Our emergency personnel, who noticed the cat, rescued him and then adopted him.”
This whole incident reminds us all that no matter how small, an act of kindness can make a big difference in someone else’s life. This cat was not only able to find help, but also his forever home, thanks to Abuzer Özdemir!
We are so glad this cat found help and we will always remember Abuzer for his kind heart and compassionate actions.
