A homeless cat tried hard to find a place where her offspring would be safe. She decided to hide with her cubs in the ruins of the building, located near the buildings. She didn’t think that on the same day, one of the local residents would decide to thwart her plans. The five kittens suffered the fate she feared most.
She found a family of cats hidden in abandoned ruins
While walking around the neighborhood, a woman noticed that a ginger cat with newborn kittens had appeared in an abandoned building. The animal hid with its offspring in a crack between the concrete slabs.
The mother cat was visibly worried at the sight of a strange man who never took his eyes off her. The woman did not try to force herself to approach the suspicious creature, but at the same time she did not want to leave the animals in a place that could collapse. She knew it wasn’t the right place to raise cubs, so she contacted her friend Kali, who was a volunteer with the Turtle and Foster Friends organization.
Whoever found the cat family didn’t have to wait long to hear the reaction from a friendly activist. Kali showed up the same day at the address provided, armed with equipment for catching wild animals.

Her kittens ended up in human hands
Securing the newborn kittens was not a challenge. Clumsy babies could be easily placed in the carrier. Unfortunately, catching their mother was a much more difficult task. The cat didn’t run far, but every time it tried to shorten the distance, it managed to avoid contact. Fortunately, the trick invented by the activist gave satisfactory results.

The women separated one of the kittens from the rest of the kittens and placed them in a live trap. After a few moments, the worried mother came running to calm the nerves of the toddler who was meowing loudly. This way the whole cat family was protected.
The red cat was terrified of what was happening to her and her kittens. Fortunately, there was a free room at the organization’s headquarters, which could serve as accommodation for the whole family for a while, thanks to which the new beneficiaries of the organization had a lot of peace and time just for themselves.

The cat no longer has to worry about the lives of her kittens
The cat’s name was Turkey and her kittens’ names were: Stuffin, Yam, Butterball, Cranberry and Bean. At first, the new mother was very wary of the volunteers. However, over time, she began to realize that because of them, her children were safe.
After a few weeks, Turkey warmed up to people so much that their presence stopped bothering her. Plus, now she even asks for petting. Taming the kittens turned out to be much easier. The smallest ones, raised since the beginning of their lives with humans, treated the volunteers as their friends. It is certain that every kitten will be a great pet in the future.

Thanks to the involvement of Kali and her friend, Turkey will never have to worry about her safety or that of her children again. A full bowl, a warm corner and a friendly hand are something that will forever remain the daily life of captured animals.
