Animals are extraordinary beings who never tire of impressing us. The love, dedication and friendship that emanate from them is not only unique to us humans. But they spill over onto other animals like them, or perhaps, as in our next story, onto those of a different species.
Our story takes place in Rome, the capital of Italy. Where the pact of love and friendship celebrated between a dog and a cat caused a lot of talk in the city.
And is that, contrary to that old absurd myth that believes that these two species are antagonistic by nature, this couple has become inseparable.

The dog then rewarded him by protecting him from other cats who sometimes tried to intimidate or chase him away.

In turn, the regulars of the park where these two friends were, noticing their presence, began to leave them plates of food.
Over time, the same group of spontaneous collaborators then decided to get in touch with Emanuele Faloni. A volunteer from another animal organization to try to save the homeless dog and cat.
Faloni gladly agreed to help, and to achieve his goal he built a special little cage.
In which he put food with the intention of the two getting closer and being able to catch them without trauma.
But, in addition to the cage, Emanuele built a small house to house them. Although at first the animals were somewhat suspicious, as they had not appeared in the area for several days, the help of the residents was essential for the return of the dog and cat.
The dog was the first to fall into the trap and the cat, seeing that his inseparable friend was in a cage, approached to see if he was okay. And, as a precaution, she introduced herself with him so as not to leave him alone.
They were taken to the vet, recovered, and during this time all that was missing was a loving family to adopt them and ensure their well-being and happiness. Interestingly, and to close this beautiful story of friendship and mutual empathy, the rescue took place on February 14, precisely the day of Love and Friendship.
