The Just Cats Veterinary Clinic in Clonsilla, Dublin is the only one in the city and is dedicated exclusively to cats – they even describe themselves as a “dog-free” veterinary clinic on their website.

For the qualifications required for this special function, be a “crazy cat person” who loves cats more than people, and who could help and care for them while having a “cattitude”.
The job description also indicates that the ideal candidate should have “soft hands that can pet and cuddle cats for long periods of time”.
“Candidates will have to speak softly and be able to whisper to cats to calm the nerves of some of our patients.”
“The ability to understand the different types of purring is a distinct additional advantage to help you get this job with us.”
However, it’s not as simple as proudly showing your “soft hands” in an interview. A qualification of the Veterinary Council of Ireland is required for the role.
For this particular dream job, the salary announced varies between 20,000 and 25,000 euros per year (about 1600 to 2000 euros per month)!
