This cute kitty was found some time ago in a colony of feral cats near a factory in Norfolk, England. Rescuers at the Feline Care Cat Shelter came across the particular feline and noticed some peculiar oddities about it.
The pretty girl didn’t have many teeth left and it left her tongue hanging out. He couldn’t fully close his eyes, among other things. The rescue team didn’t think twice, deciding to take her in, thinking she would adapt easily to life as an indoor cat.
For the next year, the sweet feline named Mau Mau enjoyed a comfortable life in a loving home. As his trust in people grew, his personality grew larger and more outgoing.
According to Love Meow, the rescue center wrote on their Facebook account:
Mau Mau is so incredibly beautiful, we needed to share it.
A kitten with a cartoon face has a lovely personality
When Mau Mau was ready to find her forever home, the rescue center hoped to find the perfect family for her and her quirks. Amelia, who had cats since she was a child and worked in a veterinary practice, was completely captivated by the “cartoon”-faced kitten and asked to meet her.
Amelie says:
I went to meet her the following week and completely fell in love with her. She looked even smaller when she sat in her room and meowed at me before I entered.
After spending a year in foster care, the once feral cat was ready to start her own family. So when he met Amelia, he took it upon himself to win her love with his first meow.
Arrived in her new life, the feline took advantage of her hiding place under her mother’s bed, inspecting every corner of the house to finally claim all the chairs and all the beds she could find.
Mau Mau, the curious and gentle kitten, often sticks out her tongue, as if constantly blowing on something. She’s a curious girl and always tries to grab anything that moves around her, including her own fluffy tail.
And while Amelia knows Mau Mau doesn’t have the best coordination, and sometimes bumps into things, she knows the special-needs little kitty is full of life and likes to go about the day carefree.
Mau Mau is also not characterized as a lap cat, but she is very affectionate by her own standards and never refuses a few chest pats.
Amelia assures:
She’s a little cat with a big personality, and she’s very stubborn and will happily ignore me.
When Amelia is cooking something in the kitchen, Mau Mau sits watching her in the doorway and keeps his eyes fixed on her, like her feline supervisor. If Amelia sits down on her sofa to rest for a while, the curious cat approaches and stares at her, sporting his signature expression accompanied by his tongue sticking out.
Finally, the woman added:
She is very curious and wants to inspect everything and anything new. She’s very feisty and apparently has a habit of trying to fight off all the other cats at the rescue center and likes to hit her toys and my hands.
