This adorable kitten found on a wall next to his brother looks like two different cats thanks to the appearance of his face

While a family in Nashville, Tennessee was doing construction work to move into their new home, they came across two kittens on a wall. Thinking that the mother would be near, they decided to wait for her return, but after a few hours there was no sign of the cat and the kittens were hungry. So the family contacted Nashville Cat Rescue.

The cats appeared to be between 2 and 3 weeks old, so they thought they would do better with a nursing cat. Kiki, a reception volunteer at the rescue center, decided to intervene and help the little ones.

She had two cats named Olive and Pickle who were rescued from a cat colony. Fortunately, they had just had their babies and could help raise the two rescued babies.

The kittens were apparently the same age as Olive and Pickle’s cats. Kiki took care of them so they could be accepted by both moms and have siblings to play and cuddle with.

One of the kittens was born with its small split face, one half is black with orange spots and the other is covered in orange tabby stripes which make it look like two different cats. It is possible that the little one is a chimera cat, a kitten whose DNA on one side of the body is different from the other.

Kiki told Love Meow:

Technically, I think only a DNA test can prove it.

The little kitten is very happy to be safe in the care of Kiki, she was given the name Apricot and her brother is Pretzel. The shelter volunteer slowly introduced them to Olive and Pickle, but one of the cats rushed to greet them as soon as she heard the kittens cry.

Kiki remembers:

Olive took them from my hand, brought them to Pickle, and they started cleaning them.

When they arrived at the foster home with Kiki, Pickle was more social than Olive, allowed herself to be petted and was the first to give birth to 6 beautiful kittens. Sadly, one of her kittens did not survive, but she was a devoted mother to her babies.

Olive was just looking at her adopted sister and for little moments she would drop by to watch what was going on and make sure they were safe.

A family that works to help the cat colony, felt that the cats were very friendly and that they were also pregnant. So they contacted the shelter to take care of Pickle and Olive, knowing they would be safe there.

The family made a few requests, and one of them was that the two cats stay together, even upon their final adoption. They want them to stay together because they are so very close.

The new members of the litter were well received by this feline family, the other kittens welcomed them and cuddled up to them. Apricot is very happy between purrs, he loves being surrounded by his foster brothers and his two mothers.

The little girl spends much of her time sleeping, she doesn’t even seem uncomfortable, and although her siblings crawl on her, she continues to sleep peacefully.

Apricot and her brother are growing up with their foster family, and in no time will they all be ready to find their final home and start a happy new chapter in their lives.
