Saving orphaned animals is a major challenge. Those involved in childcare must accommodate working at all hours of the day and night. Kittens need to be fed and groomed every few hours. The situation becomes even more complicated when the animal is struggling with health problems. This was the case for Scout, a little kitten who was placed in the care of a local organization with an infected wound on her paw. His condition was tragic.
When they found the kitten, they didn’t know if it still had a chance of surviving
Caring for kittens requires great commitment and a lot of knowledge. Babies should be fed every few hours with a special milk replacer. Moreover, after each meal, it is necessary to massage their stomachs to stimulate intestinal peristalsis. Additionally, you should ensure that your kittens stay in a dry and warm place at all times. Scout, who was taken in by a local homeless animal organization, needed even more comprehensive care.
The kitten found was only a week old. He was orphaned too quickly to have any chance of surviving without human help. Fortunately, the dog met Nadiya, a woman who decided to do everything to provide him with a comfortable life.
The baby weighed just over 100 grams. To make matters worse, Scout had a serious wound on her paw that had become infected. Experts were unsure whether such a young organism would be able to meet this challenge.
The kitten had a brave heart
Nadija decided to take Scout home. There, she was sure that the kitten would benefit from excellent conditions that would allow it to regain health and regain strength.
The animal was given a powerful antibiotic to help its body fight the infection in its injured leg. Specialists suspected that the little one had been bitten by an animal. To everyone’s surprise, Scout felt better and better every day. At first he had difficulty walking, but it was clear that he wanted to try at all costs. It has improved over time.
The kitten was very curious, sociable and friendly. He received loving care and good health. However, as time went on, it was evident that he missed the company more and more.
Only one thing was missing for the kitten to be completely happy
It was obvious that the little one wanted the cat’s company with all his heart. He needed someone to play and nap with. No cat should be raised without other members of its species.
Luckily, one day, a four-week-old orphaned kitten was taken in by a local organization that helps homeless animals. Nadija decided to take them with her. She knew that little ones could support each other. She wasn’t wrong.
The woman’s new family member quickly became friends with Scout. The young cat’s name was Savannah. The two little ones became inseparable almost immediately. It was obvious that they had a unique bond. The little orphans had the chance to live a happy life in the company of true friends.
