This mischievous Labrador retriever demands players rub his belly after he interrupts a football game.

A soccer match between the women’s national teams of Chile and Venezuela had to be suspended for a few minutes, and all for the best reason imaginable. An adorable Labrador Retriever ran onto the court and approached the players so they could rub his belly while he rested on the grass.

The adorable canine won the hearts of the players and all the fans who were in the stadium and who cheered him on for his achievement. The match took place at the La Granja de Curicรณ stadium in Chile.

The dog ran straight into the Chilean goal and rolled onto his back, demanding some well-deserved belly rubs. The referee stopped play and went and rubbed the pup’s belly with the intention of removing him from the field of play, but it wouldn’t be so easy.

Some players tried to chase the dog off the field, but the cunning animal tricked them and ran in the opposite direction. Of course, the spectators couldn’t help but cheer on the Labrador as he ran across the football field, he was happy to be the center of attention at the time. He even ran to the technical area where he received more hugs and applause.

Puppy enters the soccer field

According to Bored Panda, players repeatedly tried to drag him off the field, but the mischievous dog kept running away. Eventually, two Chilean players got together and managed to get the dog off the court. However, it seemed like he was just happy and didn’t care much about leaving the pitch.

It’s not the first or the last time a dog has sneaked out of a stadium and onto the playing field. There are many occasions where dogs have chased after the football or just wanted to get petted by their favorite players.

According to Wag Walking, dogs often want to chase objects because they have been trained to hunt in the past. Now, after many years, instead of chasing a rabbit or other prey, dogs chase a ball. When they chase the ball and get it back, it’s a feat for them.

It’s unclear if he was a stray dog โ€‹โ€‹or just a football fanatic and was too excited to pull off an incredible disappearing act on his family. The truth is that could have been the best part of the whole game that day, no doubt neither the spectators nor the players will soon forget it, and maybe we can see it again in another game of soccer.
