Animal rescuer Bob Swensen found Paris while looking for another pet on the train tracks in Baltimore, USA, and after checking he had a family, took him home . “He started recognizing them and then he just wanted them to hold him. It was the best feeling in the world,” he said.
Losing our pet is one of the worst things that can happen to us, and sometimes the worst, because it is a friend we love and a member of the family. Since there is no time to lose, we start a tireless search everywhere to recover it, but it is not always easy and it can take up to years without knowing anything.
Fortunately, there are people who seem to be sent and become a great help in bringing them home, and this is the case of Paris, a puppy who found his mom after getting lost.
Paris had been missing for 5 years, too long away from home when animal rescuer Bob Swensen found him on another mission. The man is a member of the Lost Animal Resource Group in Towson, Maryland, and was looking for another pet when he came across Paris on the Baltimore train tracks.
He had installed a camera to monitor the puppies, and it alerted him to Paris. “He was nervous and probably scared, but he handled the situation well. I took it home and set it up in my home office,” Bob told The Dodo.
Bob took Paris to Rachel Moxley of Microchip Help to find out if he had an owner, and he was able to confirm it, so he didn’t hesitate to take him home.
It had been 5 years since Paris was home for the last time, and her owner couldn’t hide her amazement that she had finally found her four-legged friend. After a long time, she was back in his arms.
The woman told Bob that Paris ran away while he was staying with a family friend, and although he never gave up hope that he would come home, she couldn’t believe it. finally happened. Paris had a hard time recognizing her, but as soon as he realized it, he jumped into her arms and wanted to stay there for a long time.
“He started recognizing them, and then he just wanted them to hold him,” Bob said. “It was the best feeling in the world,” he added. The woman waited years for someone to find Paris and bring him home safely, and she never stopped praying for it. Finally, the miracle I wanted happened.

Bob has a lot of experience rescuing animals, but this case is unique to him. “We reunited thousands of lost animals, but this was very special,” he told the outlet. Nobody knows where Paris was during all this time, but the only sure thing is that he was no longer lost.
