Dogs that were abandoned for their old age will now receive car

This man has decided to create a sanctuary for senior dogs who have failed to find a home and now they will spend the last years of their lives receiving the best possible care.

Shep’s Place Senior Dog Sanctuary offers a new opportunity for all older dogs who have not been able to find a home, they can live a comfortable old age surrounded by love.

The shrine was named after Shep, a 10-year-old beagle and basset hound who was adopted by the site’s founder, Russell Clothier, after being left on his own.

Shep is very happy in the sanctuary as there is plenty of space, a very comfortable sofa, and the ability to interact with many dogs like her.

Dogs in their beds

Russell had the good idea to create this place for the puppies as he started volunteering at various shelters and found that the older ones rarely found a home.

Dogs at home

This generous man bought a house to give them the opportunity to spend their last years in comfortable conditions, especially since most of the older dogs are in shelters because they have been abandoned by their families.

Sadly, not everyone is willing to cover the expense of caring for these dogs in their old age, despite giving them their best years.

“Their first eight or ten years were in a house, and suddenly their house was gone. Being able to give them back that feeling and make their remaining years a golden moment for them makes us all feel good.”

The house has, among other things, comfortable and well-sheltered cages, a special shower for dogs and a large patio so that they can roam freely.

This wonderful work not only helps the animals, but also the shelters because in this way a space is allowed to welcome new dogs.
