Dad wears a pet cone to make his dog feel less alone while recovering from surgery, and the scene is captured on adorable video.
The dog known on TikTok as Good Boy Ollie was filmed by Alex Morgan cuddling up next to his dad on the couch after minor surgery that left him with a few stitches. For which she had to use a protective collar, this so that the wound could heal undisturbed.
Of course, the cone was not a welcome new accessory for the dog.
Alex told The Dodo:
” Ollie was really sad with the cone. He was just depressed and felt very sorry for himself. “
Seeing that Ollie was depressed from having to use the cone for a while, Alex’s father decided to try to cheer him up and calm the dog down by joining him. So, he found another cone they had stored at home, put it on himself, then sat down next to Ollie.

Alex says:
” I just laughed and called my mom to come over too. Ollie definitely seemed a little happier. “
Ollie has since had his stitches removed and was finally able to get rid of his “cone of shame”. Alex’s dad, of course, did the same, which no doubt made them both happy.
The truth is, this small action helped Ollie in his recovery, and the family got to have a pretty amusing memory of the situation.
Alex added:
” Ollie is doing great. His stitches have healed up really well. Both are cone free now. Ollie only had to use it for a week. My dad only lasted a few hours! “
