The OTOZ Animals organization informed via its social networks that an extremely entangled dog was picked up by inspectors from the Gliwice Inspectorate. The conditions in which the animal was kept on a daily basis and the way the owner treated it undoubtedly left much to be desired.
Inspectors couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw the coat of a little dog named Filipek. After probably years of neglect, the hairs have turned into a “shell”. It is not difficult to imagine how much the animal must have suffered and felt discomfort. This is another proof of the cruelty of people towards innocent and defenseless beings.
The dog came to OTOZ by accident
OTOZ Animals reports that a tangled and suffering dog came to them completely by accident. Well, one of the volunteers cooperating with them noticed him, walking past the property where he was. Seeing the deplorable state of the animal, he immediately rushed to help him.
– The dog spent his days locked in a filthy enclosure, among his own excrement, which stuck to his fur, creating a “shell” – reads on the Facebook account of OTOZ Animals.
From the terrifying state in which the four-legged friend was, his guardian did nothing at all. He didn’t see her pain and suffering which, as the condition of her coat indicates, could have been going on for years.
“He was so entangled he had trouble moving around.”
On the day of the intervention, when the inspectors arrived on site, the dog was so entangled that he even had problems moving around. Not only did his owner see no problem with it, but he also voluntarily waived his rights to the dog. Under the care of specialists, the terribly neglected animal was named Filipek.
– The dog was recovered and transported to the hospital under the care of veterinarians. Anesthesia was necessary to remove the tangles created over the years, inspectors inform.
It’s hard to imagine how much a helpless dog suffered because of human indifference. His condition is so serious that he has to spend the next few days at the clinic for further examinations.
A fundraiser for Filipek’s maintenance is underway
OTOZ Animals Gliwice has launched a fundraiser, from which funds will be spent on the treatment and maintenance of Filipek and other dogs recently in their care. Inspectors are asking for help as the number of animals requiring attention continues to rise. Without money from kind-hearted people who are not indifferent to the suffering of pets, the organization will not be able to continue to help them.
Anyone interested in supporting fundraising can learn more at THIS LINK. There really isn’t much left to reach the goal!
– This is another animal that we have been taking care of in recent days… We need help because we will not be able to help – they sum up.
