All animals deserve a chance after going through a life full of suffering. They are not guilty of the bad experiences they live, but they still have to bear the facts of abuse, abandonment and trauma.
Irresponsible people are those who, regardless of the fact that animals are also living beings, choose to subject them to acts of violence and aggression, which end up having a strong impact on their lives.
Shelter’s oldest dog left his kennel to swim on the beach

One of the most common types of abuse is abandonment, as many are unwilling to take responsibility and prefer to leave their pets behind. When this happens, it is the activists and animal rescuers who must weigh their weight to save the lives of these hairy ones, however, being welcomed into a shelter does not mean that everything is already settled.
There are dogs, like Den, who after being rescued spend long periods in shelters with no one interested in giving them a new opportunity. This 10-year-old German Shepherd only has the company of his caregivers, so they wanted to give him a nice surprise to brighten his day.

According to Newsweek, volunteers from the organization Triple A Marbella, in Spain, took the hairy on a trip to the beach, when he knew more than the confinement and as can be seen in the footage recorded that day. , he had a lot of fun though as they even described it as “the happiest day of his life”.
And it is not for less if the bottom of the hairy is known. As we can read on the website of the shelter, this dog was abandoned by his former family in Ukraine, because due to the conflict in this country, they could not take him with them. This is how it ended up in the hands of this hostel in Spain.
“Den was found tied up in the Red Cross office in Marbella with a rucksack full of medicine, collars and leashes, and the Ukrainian flag. He had a microchip and we found the e- email and got a response. Den suffers from travel anxiety and is therefore unable to fly. The first owners had to flee Ukraine, they couldn’t leave Den but they couldn’t take it with them either” , tells the profile of the furry one.

It was the International Fund for Animal Welfare that helped over 103,000 animals to be taken to different shelters and find safe homes. Now Den enjoys the company at the shelter and the activities they do there, like the so-called Dog For a Day, which involves dedicating a special day to each pup.
“We got Den out of his kennel and took him to the beach for the day. We don’t know if he’s ever been to the beach or the ocean. he brought his special toy to the beach,” said Laura, a shelter worker.

“Den is much loved in our shelter. Our volunteers walk him daily and give him as much love, care and attention as possible. But a shelter is no place for an older dog. We know that and we are desperately looking for his retirement home.”
