Patata Di Ravenna met Michele and Cinzia Baccarini in 1989. She was alone and pregnant, probably abandoned for this reason or perhaps born wandering. To be precise, she presented herself near the country house of her parents, located not far from the house of Michele and Cinzia, who adopted her from the beginning.
The kittens found families ready to welcome them, while the mother stayed there, where she found love, guaranteed food and some hugs. Patata di Ravenna immediately expressed an independent character: his favorite “kennel” is a tree.
A few years ago, Michèle’s parents decided to move in and sell the house. He and his wife Cinzia stayed behind to take care of Patata. And the new tenants? They accepted the cat’s presence, understanding that for her, this piece of the world is her home.
Beautiful, massive, but docile and naughty, Patata Di Ravenna was attacked a few months ago by a stray cat. “We had to take her to the vet to get her treated – the owners explain – and it was the first time. Since then, she’s a little scared and never comes down from her tree.” No one in the family has booklets or certificates that can attest to Patata’s age – “It wasn’t used for country animals at the time” – but basically it doesn’t matter. importance, because since 1989, it is the joy of Baccarini.
