Sometimes work takes us out of town, and that’s precisely what happened to Wesley, a photographer who had to travel to Belize for work. He never thought he would find a dying dog and save his life.
This is the story of Wesley and Winston
Wesley White is a photographer who landed a job in Belize. He traveled to this town, he was staying in a hotel, and after doing the work he had to do, he wanted to do some kayaking to a small island off the coast of Belize. Going to this island, Wesley thought his walk would be relaxing, but nothing could be further from the truth.
When he arrived, he noticed that there was some sort of completely abandoned fishing shack. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted something heading towards the cabin, quickly realizing it was a dog. Seeing the state, the little animal was in, Wesley felt very sad for him and immediately knew what he had to do.

This dog at the point of death had a whole life ahead of him, Wesley picked up the poor little dog and put him in the kayak to take him to where he was staying. Luckily the hotel staff was ready to help him, they gave him food, water and treated them very well. One of the hotel employees contacted a veterinarian; soon this dog would get the help it needed.

When the dog, whom Wesley named Winston, was examined, it was determined that he had mites all over his body, but his organs were fine. Likewise, Winston was very dehydrated and malnourished, but luckily, he was able to recover with time and love.

Wesley had to return to his town and a woman temporarily adopted Winston while he recovered, as in his current condition he could not make such a long journey. Sometime later, Winston gained quite a bit of weight and was already much better. The veterinarian has approved the dog’s trip; soon Wesley and Winston would meet again.
It was a long car ride and Wesley feared Winston wouldn’t remember him. Winston remembered his hero and was very happy to see him again. Now this dog lives with Wesley and his two other dogs, so they are having a lot of fun. Fortunately, Winston won’t need to be needy anymore.

A happy ending
After two months in foster care, the dog could have been flown to Dallas to join Wesley.
