A dog was alone in the forest in very bad condition until this kind man rescued her and gave her another chance
A dog was alone in the forest in very bad condition outside of Sao Paulo, Brazil. When Alessandro Desco received a call to help the animal more than 5 months ago, he did not imagine the conditions in which he would find the sad pit bull.
Alessandro has 2 children and 6 dogs and runs an NGO called “Ales Pits Team”; Their main objective is to rescue street animals, especially pit bulls. He has given many animals an opportunity to find a home, reports Bored Panda.
When the man found this dog whom he named Athenea, she seemed to have been abandoned to die in the forest; she had a considerable decomposing wound on her forehead and her eyes were inflamed.
Alessandro Desco Saved This Pit Bull From A Certain Death
As soon as he found her, the man immediately went to a veterinary clinic.
The vets were concerned to see her condition. Larvae were emerging from the wound on his forehead, and his eyes were completely closed. The biggest concern was that his organs were compromised; the situation was really critical.
Athenea was hospitalized and had an X-ray and an ultrasound. The vets made an effort to remove the larvae from her forehead, and with patience and the necessary medical care the dog began to react and was on her feet shortly after.
Today Athenea is another, her gaze is tender and full of love, her eyes have a particular brightness. She is a cheerful and very playful dog; that sad past that he had to endure is hardly a memory now.
Now, Alessandro Desco to find a home for her where they can give her the love she deserves. Although for a moment they believed that Athenea would not make it, Alessandro’s determination and medical care saved this sweet pit bull’s life.
This man managed to completely change the life of this and many other animals that now have a home and a second chance, without a doubt the case of Athenea shows that despite the difficulties there is always the possibility of a new beginning.
