Mosley was a grim and lonely racing dog who managed to recover thanks to the pregnancy of its owner
Mosley is a greyhound who used to compete in racing until he could no longer run and was adopted into the Merrihew home. When he arrived at his new home, the 4-year-old dog Mosley used to be very uneasy and anxious. It became territorial, and greatly respected its space.
Scott Merrihew told The Dodo:
“The first time we had it, he had a little separation anxiety, and was very protective of his space,”. “He took a lot of patience over the years to make him always feel comfortable in an off-piste environment he was used to.”
Mosley was unable to adapt to his new life, as a result of the stress he had suffered during his life as a dog track racer, where he could only relate to the rest of the racing dogs.
It could easily be interpreted that this insecure dog was a little afraid of people. Despite this Scott Marrihew and his wife, who adopted Mosley, gave him the space he needed and did everything possible to make Mosley forget all the noise and pressure he was used to.
However, luckily for Mosley, he was adopted by the best mom and dad ever, and over time he became increasingly comfortable …
However, everything changed with the arrival of the owner’s pregnancy. Thereafter, the dog surprisingly changed its behavior towards humans.
After 4 years, Scott’s wife became pregnant, which meant a complete change in Mosley’s life. “He knew something was up,” says Scott; Since Mosley’s attitude, starting with his shyness and anxiety, changed for the better after the pregnancy.
“He was much more tender with my wife from the pregnancy” assures Scott
Mosley was very loving and calm towards Scott’s wife, although not long ago he was an insecure and anxious dog. Mosley began to change his behavior for the better.
And all the change was reflected even more after the birth of little Lucas.
After the baby was born, the animal put aside its solitary character to relate to the little one and the rest of his family. Since then Mosley claims human contact, especially with little Lucas.
Now the family had grown and Mosley had only love for the new baby. The couple was surprised at the reaction of Mosley with the presence of Lucas and from there, everything changed.
