The cat could barely see, but he pushed forward. He wandered the streets looking for someone to help him. He experienced an amazing transformation. A real beauty came out of the ball of dirty and tangled fur. His unique eyes gaze lovingly at the people who gave him a chance and saved him from homelessness.
The woman had no room for another cat. She decided to make an exception when she watched him
A few months ago, Andrea Christian, a pet sitter with St. Francis Society Animal Rescue, heard of a cat found on the street. The blind purr needed his help. His fur was dirty and unkempt, and his eyes festered. The condition of the glued eyelids was not known.
โMy host family was almost full, but I made room for them. His feet had scabs so thick that he couldn’t walk properly. I immediately understood that his recovery would take a little longer,โ says Andrea.
The babysitter was speechless when the cat first opened its eyes. His gaze delights
The purr, who went by the name Mystic, wanted more than food and drink from his new babysitter. What he wanted most was affection. As he slowly recovered, he began to bond with Andrea. During long sessions of scabies skin cleansing, these two found a common thread.
The hard crust on the animal’s face slowly disappeared with proper treatment and care. The cat was finally able to open its eyes, and when it did, the babysitter was speechless. The animal’s gaze was unique, it had two different iris colors. The beauty of the heterochromia was emphasized by its neat white fur. The ugly duckling turned into a swan.
โHe was shy but loving from the first day we met. He let me medicate him, brush his hair and wash him,โ Andrea says.
After a week of adopting Mystic, he felt much better. The only problem was his shyness. Without encouragement in the form of petting, he wouldn’t leave his hiding place.
Everything changed when she entered the asylum. The cat showed Mystic how to love
Shortly after the pet was adopted, another purr, Fuzzy Biscuits, came to the cat shelter and was in bad shape. He looked like Mystic the day he arrived – scruffy fur, mange and matted eyes.
โOn a whim, I put the two together because they were both recovering from scabies and they both had their destinies. It was love at first sight. Mystic snuggled up to Fuzzy Biscuits, and she immediately started grooming him.
Taking care of a feline friend changed something about Mystic’s character. He came out of his shell and felt much more confident. He’s shown he can be a real stickler.
– He’s the cutest cat despite the pain of the past. He loves all the other animals in our foster family and has never argued with another cat, says Andrea.
Although the woman loves both, she knows that as a temporary family she will soon have to part with them. She promised herself that she would give Mystic a loving home where he would feel happy.
