When Iris, the beautiful rescued pit bull, first arrived at her temporary home, she was so scared that she didn’t even want to go in the house.
It didn’t matter whether the sun was shining or it was pouring with rain, Iris spent her days in a corner of the garden, sitting behind a seeder, refusing to move.
His temporary owners decided to leave the back door open for an entire month, in the hopes that the dog would find the courage to go through the door one day.
When Iris finally entered the house, she had a lot of difficulty adjusting. He simply refused to lie down anywhere, so his temporary owner decided to cover the floor with a blanket.
She also placed treats under them, further encouraging this beautiful dog and reminding him that this is his home too. Eventually, he began to trust his owners so much that he was willing to sleep on the bed with them.
Iris then meets the family’s other dog, with whom they quickly become inseparable friends. After that, they knew Iris was ready to be adopted. Thinking that Iris would do well with a family that already had a dog, her temporary owners managed to find her a suitable family.
Thanks to the patience and efforts of her temporary owners, Iris is finally living the life she deserves, surrounded by loving people and a very playful canine sibling.
Unfortunately, its new owners then shared some sad news; Iris died after a long illness. Although everything was done for him, he was unfortunately overcome by illness. We are happy that he was able to spend his last moments with a loving family who would have done anything for him!
